Both speakers are energized by a powerful sealed lead acid battery allowing you to enjoy hours of quality stereo music in remote areas. No plugging into 120V outlets to operate these speakers. The main speaker can be placed up to 100 ft away from the music source in an unobstructed area.  The passive speaker can be placed around 30 ft. away from the main speaker.  In some environments you can place the passive speaker even further away.
